Once the larger image pair is open, view at arms length or further, centered and square to the image.

Relax your eyes and let them cross until you see a third image form in the middle. Increase the crossing of the eyes until that image is at full width and relax your eyes until the image “pops” into 3D. You may find it useful to move slightly left/right/up/down to get the pop, and if you feel eye strain. After it pops you may let your eyes wander around the image and can move closer if you wish.
